CBG Flower: 5 Best Ways To Use + Benefits

4 minute read

There's a reason CBG is called the Queen Cannabinoid. The research is revealing some incredible findings and some studies reveal CBG’s benefits could outperform CBD. Dominant effects include rapid relief to anxiety, better focus, pain relief, decreased inflammation, antibacterial, uplifted mood / natural option to antidepressants, and possibly inhibiting cancer growth.  With a list like that, it's good to have some CBG in your life. If you’re wondering what would be the best ways to use CBG Flower +  it’s benefits and effects, we’ve got you covered. Here are 5 best ways to use CBG Flower plus the benefits they offer.

1.) Smoking CBG Flower

The cannabinoid CBG has potent benefits because of the direct interaction or binding it has with the receptors of the endocannabinoid system, (unlike CBD, which interacts indirectly). Smoking CBG Flower is a fast method of delivery. Within a few minutes of inhalation, users can experience a multitude of benefits such as feeling a sense of peace, body relaxation, slowing of mind chatter, increase of focus and productivity and mood elevation.

Smoking CBG Flower is a fast delivery method because when you inhale the smoke it directly enters your lungs and goes into your bloodstream to then circulate throughout the body. This means that you can feel the effects very quickly and also can more easily regulate your dose.

The other bonus of smoking High CBG Hemp Flower is that you will experience the benefits and entourage effects of the entire cannabinoid and terpene profile of the CBG flower strain, along with its enjoyable and unique aroma and taste.

2.) Dry Herb Vaping CBG Flower

For people that prefer not to have smoke enter their lungs, yet would like to have the benefits and experience of inhaling the CBG Flower, you can use a dry-herb vaporizer. The dry-herb vape is a device that heats the flower only to the point of vaporization, avoiding the combustion process.

Dry-herb vaping has the advantage of delivering the potent benefits and effects of the individual CBG Flower strain, including the other cannabinoids and terpenes, with only inhaling the boiled steam that comes off of the heated flower. This is a favorite method to enjoy the toke without the smoke.

3.) Cooking With CBG Flower & Decarboxylation

You can add ground CBG Flower to any dish, such as pasta sauce or tea. However, in order to activate the benefits from CBG Flower, or any hemp flower, it must first go through decarboxylation, which means adding heat to activate the cannabinoids. In it’s raw, air dried state, hemp contains CBDa or CBGa. These cannabinoids have their own unique benefits, but to access the benefits of CBD and/ or CBG specifically, you will need to heat the flower.

To decarboxylate the CBG flower pre-heat the oven to 220 degrees, then place the ground CBG flower on a cooking tray lined with parchment paper for 45-60 minutes. When it is completed, allow it to cool and then it is ready to add the ground flower to any type of recipe to experience a slower release of CBG and other cannabinoid benefits. Some crush up the baked flowers and use it like a spice. CBG is extremely low in natural THC, (0.1%) so feel free to be liberal with this medicinal ‘spice.’ The flavor of the White CBG cultivar is mild and versatile.

4.) CBG Flower Infused Oil

To make infused CBG Flower Oil, simply add the decarboxylated flower to an oil of your choice. Coconut, olive, hemp seed oil or any edible oil of your choice works fine. Fill a mason jar with the oil, add the flower and submerge the sealed jar of oil in a pot of boiling water for about an hour. The CBG and other cannabinoids will infuse into the oil. Once it is completed, strain the plant material from the oil. You can then use the oil in any recipe of your choice to enjoy the full spectrum of the benefits of CBG and the other cannabinoids.

5.) CBG Flower Oil For Topical Use

There are many recipes for DIY Topicals that you can make with CBG Flower. However, you can also simply use your CBG Flower infused oil topically. Both coconut and hemp oil are very beneficial for the skin and it will have the added benefits when it is infused with CBG and other cannabinoids from the hemp flower.
